Senator Steve Daines

Senator Steve Daines represents Montana in the U.S. Senate as a member of the Republican Party. Steve's current Senate term began January 3, 2021 and ends January 3, 2027. Steve Daines earned his undergraduate degree in chemical engineering from Montana State University and spent more than two decades as a business executive at Procter & Gamble in Asia and the United States before entering politics. He won Montana's at-large House seat in 2012 before winning his Senate seat in 2014, and he serves on the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee and the Appropriations Committee, focusing on natural resource development, agriculture, and public lands management critical to Montana's economy.
